Stephanie Whigham (OTR/L), Occupational Therapist

Stephanie graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with her master’s degree in occupational therapy in 2015. She previously worked as a special education teacher in an autism classroom in Raleigh. Since obtaining her degree, she’s practiced in various pediatric and adult settings, including mental health, the non-profit sector, early intervention, and schools.

Stephanie and her husband, Kyle, moved to Boone in 2019 and love calling the mountains home! Their family has grown by two littles since that time, welcoming Penny and Clay! They also have two cats and a patient labrador, filling their hearts full!

Stephanie specializes in pediatric occupational therapy and has experience working within the school setting and in the outpatient, clinic-based setting. She enjoys the creative and individualized aspects of each session, collaborating closely with families to ensure progress is carried over to home.

Danielle Stout, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Danielle graduated from Southwest Virginia Community College, with an Associate of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy Assisting in 2019 and is board certified through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Soon after graduation, Danielle began serving Ashe County students through school based OT. She continued her passion for pediatric occupational therapy, transitioning to an outpatient, clinic based setting in 2022.

Danielle knew from her first day in her college fieldwork placement in an outpatient pediatric setting that her heart belonged in pediatric OT. She is a firm believer in achieving goals and learning through play based, individualized, and “FUN”ctional therapy sessions.

Danielle is originally from Ashe County, North Carolina and now lives in Johnson County, Tennessee with her husband Daniel, sons Silas and Ezra, two dogs, and 3 birds. In her free time, Danielle enjoys playing games with her family, reading, and singing along to musicals. She also made her debut in community theater in 2023!
